Violet bit her lip and nodded. “I guess you’ve got a point there” she said with a chuckle. “Although, to be fair, I didn’t think there would be anyone here, so I didn’t try to stay unseen.”
“And hey, there’s no shame in that. What if I get cold easily?”
“A friendly bit of advice then,” it said dryly, “always act like there’s someone around to see you. You’re never alone, no matter how much you try to run.” The creature raised its eyebrows at the cold comment, letting out a small sigh. “Maybe you ought to work on your excuses as much as your ability to be unseen.”
