“A friendly bit of advice then,” it said dryly, “always act like there’s someone around to see you. You’re never alone, no matter how much you try to run.” The creature raised its eyebrows at the cold comment, letting out a small sigh. “Maybe you ought to work on your excuses as much as your ability to be unseen.”

frown marring her face.  Empath she
was not, but s o m e thing about him
made the little pink hairs on the back
of her neck stand up on an end. Jinx
grits her teeth, body tense under an
illusion of confidence and relaxation.

     ”Only to those that don’t know how
      to walk in them.  What’s it to you,
                                                 anyway?”

Iblis puts its hands behind its back, letting a
perfectly  innocent smile creep onto the Ifrit’s
face.     Perhaps it wasn’t the best performer.
The  smile  twitched in genuine amusement
at her words.

     "Oh, I’m afraid I’m one of those
      who  don’t  know  how  to walk
                                             in them.“

The  Ifrit  stood  en  pointe  playfully  to  display
the bare feet. It wasn’t the biggest fan of shoes.

     "And it’s nothing to me,   personally.    I
      just find them fascinating.        How tall
      are they?      Do you wear them out of a
      complex?      A fear of others not taking
      you seriously for your height?   I would
      assume not,    as you seem to display
      the pink quite proudly.     They do quite
      nicely with your outfit, I’m not criticising
       your style,  merely wondering whether
       aesthetics  match the practical uses.”
