Oh, she knew that smile. Same smile
she herself wore when she was trying
to convince others that she was well,
innocent. Jinx wasn’t fooled at all, no
not even close. What she was, however, was weirded
out. This … boy, yeah we’ll just leave
it at boy, talked more than the hive five
added together. Jinx crossed her arms
over her chest and frowned.”2 inches, no, and no. Of course
there are practical purposes.”Okay, maybe not, but it did make her
more attractive, and that was used to
her advantage.”And now, who are you. What are
you?”

She didn’t fall for the innocent routine,
which made Iblis’ smile grow wider.
The creature did adore a game that
was played on equal footing, after all.
It wasn’t fun when people took Iblis
at face value.
It was why Iblis took a pleasure in
dealing with the weathered ones; the
people who no longer took things
shallowly. They’re the ones most on
guard, and they were the ones who
were the most entertaining.
Her questions made the Ifrit tilt its head
questioningly. The 'what’ was perhaps
a little confusing, and Iblis did not know
how to answer. ‘Ifrit’? 'Devil’? 'Djinn’?
Whatever else the creature was,
it was amused.
"I’m Iblis. It is who I am,
and it is what I am. And
you are?“
