Her mind was a million miles away as she made her way through the crowded market place of Kerioth. The only thought currently running Mary’s mind at the moment was her husband and the fact that he had been gone for over three days. Making her way over to one of the many booths, she almost knocked over a young child playing in the middle of the open market. Mumbling a quick apology to the girl, she continued walking. The child’s words caused her to stop dead in her tracks and turn around.
“What exactly is that suppose to me?
I’ve already apologized to you.”

Iblis glanced up at the woman, a frown still heavy on its features. It continued the task at hand with brushing away the dirt and smoothing down the hair. It wasn’t a human, no, but the creature found that its life (and its job) was considerably easier when in the form a well-dressed and clean child. Certainly the amount of children with impeccable manners and form was… limited. As the woman engaged in the Ifrit in conversation, there was a small huff and an annoyed twitch of the lips before Iblis settled its face into a neutral expression.
"I meant exactly what I said.
An apology means nothing
when it’s clearly not meant.
The next person you trample
might not be so forgiving.”
