“Why would you say that? I
think it’s a very nice name. Oh.
It’s about something called
psychokinesis. It means someone
who can…move things with their
mind without having to touch it with
their hands.”
There. That works, right? Short, simple,
and to the point. Sue’s far from an expert
on the matter, but she’s well read and has…
ample experience with it. Steering her mind
from that night her smile dims just slightly
and she looks at the girl with an almost sad
glint in clear blue eyes.
A very nice name? Iblis fights the
frown from its lips as it looks away.
It’s the name of a traitor – there isn’t
anything nice about it. But the word
'psychokinesis’ has Iblis looking back
up towards the woman, listening idly
to her explanation of it. The creature
has knowledge of what it is –
impossible to live so long and not
encounter it – but there’s something
about her mood that intrigues Iblis
into inquiring more.
"Do you have it? Do you know
someone? I think it would be
difficult to be that different, to
have something in you that
people don’t understand. It’s
frustrating not to be believed in.”
